Static analysis catches what a person misses. A person catches what static analysis misses. You need both.
Static analysis is fast, consistent, and blind to intent. A senior reviewer is slow, inconsistent under fatigue, and very good at spotting 'this works but it shouldn't'.
Neither replaces the other. Our release gate requires both: a clean static-analysis pass and a senior engineer's sign-off who wasn't the one who wrote the change.
It's slower than trusting the linter. It's a lot faster than a production incident.
